Bought this for style but I end up wearing it for everything. The matte black canvas is clean, not shiny, not cheap looking and the beige sherpa collar makes it pop without being loud. Fit is tailored, not boxy like most sherpa jackets, so I can wear it over a sweater and jeans and still look put-together.
Function wise, it's legit. I wore it shoveling snow last week and the wind didn't cut through at all. The canvas is heavyweight and the sherpa inside traps heat, but it's not puffy so I can drive and move around in it. Pockets are deep, buttons are solid metal, stitching feels durable. I've worn it to work, to dinner, and clearing the driveway. It just works.
